Fun Bike Ride
Bike riding is a wonderful way to get out and be active! Biking is adaptable to almost any fitness level and lets people of all ages spend time together. Whether your child is riding in a seat on the back of your bike, or you're struggling to keep up with your teen-ager, you will all have a great time! Here are some things to keep in mind before you hit the road:
- Review bicycle safety tips.
- Take the time to learn all the rules and safety intructions in your community such as where it's permissible to ride and so on. Make sure your kids also understand the rules.
- Always wear a helmet! Everybody! This is non-negotiable. Head injuries do not contribute to good health!

- Talk to members of your local police.
- Your local police are the best source of rules and safety information in your community.
- Your local police might host or sponsor a "bike rally." They can take the opportunity to teach participants about bike safety and proper helmet use.
- Local law enforcement can also block off roads in order to increase the safety and enjoyment of a bicycling event.
