Water
Being well hydrated is important for almost every function in your body. After all, your body is about 75% water. When you are even slightly dehydrated your ability to even do basic of daily tasks are diminished.
Importance of water:
- Maintains your bodies ability to deliver oxygen and nutrients.
- Carries away waste created by exercise and daily activity.
- Keeps your body cool by the evaporation of sweat.
- Helps maintain proper blood pressure.
- Helps you to concentrate.
- Helps with coordination.
How to tell if your hydrated:
- Urine is clear to pale yellow.
- You urinate at least 4 times per day.
Tips to increase water intake:
- Carry a water bottle at all times.
- Everytime you walk by a water fountain, stop and take a drink.
- Eat more fruits and vegetables.
- Drink a glass of water at every meal.
- Leave a glass of water next to your bed while you sleep.
