Fruits
Fruits are a delicious and nutritious way to get many of the nutrients needed for good health. Fruits are a great source of vitamins, minerals, and dietary fiber. Fruits can be purchased:
- Fresh
- Frozen
- Canned
- Dried Juiced
How much to get per day:
- Try to eat 1 ½ to 2 cups of fruits per day
- 1 cup of fruit or 100% fruit juice, or ½ cup of dried fruit can be considered as 1 cup from the fruit group.
- 1 medium piece of fruit is about the size of a baseball.
- Try to eat 5 to 9 servings per day
